A video on how to make your own $15 steadycam. Hope it helps as it has helped up in our shorts. If anyone is interested I have made a JIb, Dolly, and Squib and could show you how to make those also if interested. Please leave comments as Whiteout Productions is here to help out other independent filmmakers, hope you enjoy.

  • You missed the walking shots. Try moving or walking around, I think you didn't do that. Basically you just stood there panning from left to right and back again. I can do that too without any stabilizers and still get an equally good shot.

  • If you watch again at 3:00 is when I start tracking with the skaters.

  • Skate footage looks good. Can you show the final setup and usage technique. I would like to see what you guys did for the squib, dolly, and jib. Tks.

  • doesn't show how you mount a camera to it, or how you use it.. horrible video

  • I've had problems stabilizing these DIY steadycams consistently. After some failures I bought a Cam Caddie for $38 and it has helped me capture smooth motion for a multitude of difficult angles.

  • Cool, check out how i designed mine, i have a kodak playsport and i made the smaller design. And used schdule 40 pvc pipe for durability. and have my wieghts inside the tube hiddin. with big nails or can use rebar. MADE 3 FOR UNDER 40 BUCKS.

  • @jp3553 Is this really THAT insulting to you i dont really care at all.

  • What the hell man??!! I know you stole this design from Ben1257sb, I'm not an idiot. Don't try and claim it as your own, because it obviously isn't. If you're going to post a steadicam tutorial, at least think of an ORIGINAL model. You piss me off, you sick freak.

  • REALLY? You're going to steal someone else's EXACT' designs and make your own video??? You're pitiful. At least make some modifications or think of your own design. OR AT LEAST GIVE BEN1257SB SOME CREDIT. That's just sad. You are pitiful.
