Your professor is wrong. The constitution of the Philippines clearly states that Filipino(tagalog) and English are official languages. English is used in schools, business and official government transactions.

  • I had a college professor at Hayward state Univ. Calif. telling me(and I'm Filipino) that English is not an official language of the Philippines. Of course, if you study Philippine history, u should know that it is. That's the kind of educators we have in this country. Sad and scary.

  • My mother told me that her grandfather sat on a snake that he thought was a log until it started moving. That had to be a Python or some thing just as big.

  • i'm interested... where in the philippines can you find a burmese python in the wild???

  • Python molurus bivittatus or the popular name of it is a burmese is also native of the Philippines. It doesn't mean that if the name is Burmese it's only found in Burma LMAO... Definitely it's not a bateater didn't you see the pattern on their skin alone proves that it's not. You caught many of them maybe but doesn't make you an expert like me. By the way I'm a veterinarian specializing in reptiles. LMAO

  • i know reticulated python is native in the philippines... i have caught many of them in the wild! no joke! the snake in second 53 is either a burmese or a "bateater", which is crossbreed of a retic and a burmese python. it is not found in philippine wilderness! also sus scrofa is a general term for wild boar... the philippines has AT LEAST 3 species of wild pig... things things like these should be taught in school so that Filipinos will appreciate the uniqueness of philippine nature.

  • FYI... Python reticulatus is the scientific name of the Philippine Python and it is native specie not a foreign one...

  • i am aware that many kinds of pythons exist in southeast asia region, where the philippines belong... however, the title "wild animals, philippine island" is misleading and should not be used if you feature an animal not native to the philippines, which in this case is a foreign (exotic) specie of python. you could have tagged it "wild animals in captivity, philippine island"

  • Pythons are found all over southeast asia... including the Philippines.

    What are you talking about?
