I love the simplicity and innocence of this version!! I have listened to it 4 times right in a row. So simple and sweet. I love the soft guitar. Did she play that too? So good. I also love the photography.

@twagenius Hi! Thanks for commenting! Sorry for delay in responding. Yes, Olivia plays the guitar and piano. She has also written several original songs. All such beautiful gifts from the Lord. My husband is the photographer, and I really need to make more videos with his pics in them.

Written by my great-grandfather in 1914, C. Austin Miles. I've noticed that most have a different year....1914 is correct. I liked it best in "Spencer's Mountain" with Maureen O'Hara singing it.
Oh, and it isn't a HYMN. It's a Gospel song. There's a difference.
Written in New Jersey in a rain storm in a leaky basement with NO windows. How's that for faith?
You take license with your changes in the notes and words, but it isn't under ascap any more, so go for it.

I love the re-occurance of gospel songs and hymns into mainstream Christian music, with many groups and artists adding their own flair to the piece. That's the beauty of Olivia's voice as well.
The main thing, in every instance, is that the spirit of the writer is honoured, and the Lord glorified! :-)

I honestly think I've listened to this at least 10 times just in the past hour. What a moving and excellent tribute to the creator of us, as well as the writer of this piece. Thank you for having it on you-tube.

I'm so glad you were blessed! Olivia's spirit is as beautiful as her voice, so she's truly worshipping our Lord in this song!
