I made this video on how to make your own budget air filters after encoutering the problem in my first video, budget gaming pc, with the antec 300 gaming case. I got the materials from Bunnings Warehouse for all under 10$ for all three fan openings.
Hope you guys find it useful and informative. Let me know if you found other effective ways of making these. Have fun and God bless

Materials:
scissors
ruler
square magnetic adhesive strips (mine came in a roll pack) - These are interchangeable with wire and screw on ones.

ultra fine industrial wire mesh (used on security doors) - available in all lengths - can also use air filters made for cars/aircons

  • i dont see how the magnetixc stripes or going to stick on my plexiglass

  • @turbotonic27 one option is to glue some magnetic strips onto the plexiglass surface but that would be a permanent solution and possibly not a very pleasing look.

  • By doing this, how could you remove the fan?

  • @MistaSL well its magnetic adhesive to the surrounding area of the fan and doesnt get in the way of the screw holes for the fan

  • dude im in america. r u in austraila or something?

  • @EVehicleJ yeh i am in aus

  • This is exactly how I did my computer and it works great I don't have to open it up as often just bring out the vacuum and suck that crap off the outside of it, But the way I did mine was I put my screen mesh on the inside took a little more time to do it but looks a lot better too and I didn't use that metal looking screen mesh like this, Don't get me wrong I still like this though I figure what ever works for you

  • You should put the filter on the inside in between the fan and the case and just use scissors or a knife to cut small holes for the screws, it will look better I guess.

  • check out my work around on this case for filtering dust :) enjoy

    watch?v=6NasHLgdCls

will work on any pc fan :) dust pwnage :)

  • @eddles777 So then you need to remove the filter in order to remove the fan?

  • @eddles777 i thought so cuz bunnings warehouse is there
