"Mind Over Money" premieres April 27th on PBS (please check local listings). In the aftermath of the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression, NOVA presents an entertaining and penetrating exploration of why mainstream economists failed to predict the crash of 2008 and why we so often make irrational financial decisions. • "the psychologist said they were sad but didn't know it"

well, that's why it's called the study of unconscious

  • To me the funniest part of the show was when they showed subjects a sad movie, and as the psychologist asked the subjects did they feel sad, even when the subjects said no, the psychologist said they were sad but didn't know it because of the machine said they were. OK, and psychology is not bullshit why? Psychology is nothing more than tricks and conformation bias.

  • We usually make irrational financial decisions because of greed. We want something now - more money, or stuff - so we give up or risk the money we have to obtain it. All those people gave money to Bernie Madoff because they thought they could get richer, faster that way than the "safe" ways.

  • should be interesting

  • ya, know what... i was wondering this.
