Just a quick progress update on my two little guys. They are starting to change a bit. I have noticed a change in their coloring from solid green to more splotchy and light green. I have also noticed their gills and tails getting smaller. They have names now too, Gator and Pooch.

  • How did you move them once they where nearly fully changed what set up did you use?

  • @Blinx56 When they were mostly changed I drained the water and pushed the sand to one side where half was water and half dry. (You can see a pic of it in my other video water dog to tiger salamander in six weeks). They started spending time more on the dry land after a day or two so I switched them to a regular set up and they have been fine since. Regular set up substrate is untreated soil and coconut fiber moistened and a water dish large enough for them to dip in and a hide or two.

  • u sure its not a axolotl

  • @drunkenp0t lol yep they changed completely into tiger salamanders. :) I will post a video sometime when I get my camera fixed.

  • how warm is your water
