So does Rattle speak English to the orchestra? I'm sure he's fluent in German by now isn't he?

After all these years in Berlin I note Sir Simon is still only able to say the odd word or phrase in german ( '' sehr leisse'') to his orchestra. When he wants or needs to say a whole sentence, even a simple one, as at the end of the clip, he has to revert to english- yet every european conductor of a comparable stature that i can think of has at least two, if not three languages, with which to talk to orchestras of different nationalities.
