A three minute demo reel for a short documentary that I edited for the Go For Broke National Education Center.
SYNOPSIS: "The Rescue of the Lost Battalion" utilizes machinima technology, stock footage, and intimate interviews with members of the 442nd Regimental Combat Team to narrate a heroic chapter in American history. This multi-media project tells a story of bravery and sacrifice as it recalls one of the many remarkable experiences of the 442nd, a unit of Japanese-American soldiers who served and fought during World War II to demonstrate their loyalty as American citizens.
Go For Broke's website has full interviews with Japanese-American soldiers and internees and tons of information regarding the Japanese-American experience during World War II: http://www.goforbroke.org
Machinima footage generated by Lionhead Studios' "The Movies." http://www.lionhead.com/

True American heroes. Too bad their stories don't really get told.
