John W. Windham, blues street musician San Francisco

John Bluesman Shane played blues on streets of San Francisco, at the ball park and at 3rd street bus stop at 22st street in Dog Patch area next to the Dog Patch Saloon. If you remember him please leave a comment. This is a tribute to Shane from Andre. He was my friend. We all miss him.
John Willie Windham was born in Jasper county, Mississippi, May 29 1941, family had 7 girls and 5 boys, his two brothers also played guitar, his aunt Rosetta Taylor was teaching him guitar when he was 9. John came to Oakland in 1957. His blues guitar is in excellent Mississippi style, his singing is dramatic from the heart.
He was saying "music has to come from the heart".
John was known as "Blues", "Bluesman", "Shane". He was robbed and killed in West Oakland on June 27 2007.

Two years later she died from grief (heart attack) the next day after she found out that John was robbed, shot and killed in Oakland. She loved him so much. He was robbed and killed in West Oakland on June 27 2007. His cousin Gina died the very next day from deep distress when she learned about John's death.
