-From, "PER QUALCHE DOLLARO IN PIU" (Italy, 1965)
-"FOR A FEW DOLLARS MORE" (USA)

The middle piece in the 'Dollars' trilogy, between "A FISTFUL OF DOLLARS" and "THE GOOD, THE BAD, AND THE UGLY". Starring Lee Van Cleef, Gian-Maria Volonte, Klaus Kinski, and Clint Eastwood as 'The Man With No Name'.

This song is named "La Resa dei Conti" on the original Italian soundtrack. It's called by its English title here to avoid confusion with the western film "La Resa dei Conti" (The Big Gundown, 1966).

Wandering chimes set the stage for a showdown, with the hard spanish surf guitar spotlighting the cruccial moment; then demonic organ amps the instensity, before conquistidore horns come in so bold they could punch through stone.

  • There are two kinds of movies in this world: Those with timeless and amazing soundtracks, and those without.

  • I thought Toccata and Fugue was starting up at 0:51 for a second

  • That, my friends, is the stare of death. Someone is about to die.

  • I have found it... Top Gear's Toyota Hilux theme

  • THIS IS THE TIME FOR VENGEANCE... Perfect

  • Very careless of you old man.

  • Damn This is a real western sound.

  • @MegaFudd : but there is nothing saying that they could have been related.

Another interesting point is that ONCE UPON A TIME IN THE WEST was supposed to be the follow-up to GOOD, BAD AND UGLY - ie Clint's character had to lose his money somehow.. maybe in building a railroad station? This would explain why in FISTFUL OF DOLLARS his is dirt broke. Also, remember when in FOD he says to the woman he helps "I once knew someone who needed help but there was nobody there to help"?

  • ma che sballo la tomba...mamma mia!!!

  • @Level7Gentlemen So right The dollars trilogy are within the first category

  • @scrupulousDon I'll tell you why you can't Call Mortimer Angel Eyes. GBU was filmed as a sort of prequel. It took place during the civil war while the rest of the films took place during reconstruction or later. Angel Eyes was killed in GBU therefore making it impossible for Mortimer, (we can assume a Civil War veteran) to be Angel Eyes.
