This is one of the most beautiful English [actually American] Ballads Tauber recorded. It is notable for the sustained mezza-voce singing throughout. Hear how he starts the long final note softly, swells to a mezzo-forte, and then gradually diminishes the tone to a ravishing pianissimo at the end.

Never tire of listening he had perfect control never went beyond his range, I often after meeting him, during the war, wonder how I have lived all these years and he died so soon after the war. A great loss. MY records of him I left in London. Thanks to you he will be long remembered

Well, don't know what to communicate here, except TX, & how does Tauber have this control of the mezza-voce--you usually go back to the "teacher" or coach--Can anyone tell me?
