  • which fp turbo are to running fp hta dsm86 or fp hta dsm82. reason i am wondering is because a few local dsmer out here are saying that i should go with a regular gt3586 or gt3582 turbo because the fp hta dsm82 or 86 turbine side doesnt flow enough but i think you are using fp dsm turbo

  • @donaldnordgren

its not a dsm turbo. i'm running a t3 .82ar using an ams adaptor plate.

i agree with what your local dsmer's are saying. the dsm82 or 86 doesn't flow enough.

    good luck with your ride!

  • Hey Devin I'm currently running a 35R in my Mustang with the 4g63. Going to be switching out the BC 272s for the Kelford 280s. Were running a Cometic head gasket with the standard ARP head studs its pushng a little coolant at 35 psi are you having trouble with this ???

  • @skipdownstairs The standard ARPs are OK but only if you have a 6-bolt (89-92). The 7-bolt head studs are not as big and I would recomend L-19 head studs for a 7 bolt(93-06). Cometic Head Gaskets are JUNK!!! Use a OEM Evo 3 MLS gasket, if you can o-ring the block that would be even better. Ive had the same head gasket in my car for 2 years runing 45 psi, OEM MLS FTW!

    Devin

  • @Boostinawd Thanks for the good information!! Its a 6bolt and I believe ya on the cometic gasket. What A/R hotside housing are you running on the turbo I have the .63 and want to go to the .82 A/R for sure.

  • @skipdownstairs if your not worried about spool go with the .82, people make around 40 whp more on the .82.

  • i am stumped on how you got that 02 houseing to fit. The fp version hta 35r turbo only comes with a v band or 4 bolt outlet. my question is did you buy a garret turbo that came with that outlet (then had fp rebuild to the hta) or can fp have that turbine housing availible

  • @itsjussjerry I have been to many other tracks and there is no difference in my ET or trap speed. I have gone 9.03 @ Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk Ohio with the same trap speeds I have at this track.

  • whats the wheel and tire combo?

  • @Red97Avenger the bigger the boost the less gate you need. externals are COMPLETELY over rated. there are diesel trucks running 20-60lbs of boost for hundreds of thousands of miles on internal gates. now if you want to run a huge turbo at low boost on a tiny motor. a fancy gate might help ya some.

    this car is titties!
