Its sad because Pompei and Caesar were friends. They didnt want to fight each other, but the senate turned them against each other.

Please stop with the baseless conspiracy theories? Although I would not be surprised if the American government allowed it to happen to gain support for its oil wars. Pompey was killed by his own men because of Caesar; so as a poetic justice, Caesar met with the same fate. Infact its intresting that he died at the feet of Pompey's statue!!

That is not correct. Pompey wasn´t killed by his own men but by the men of the egyptian king Ptolemaios. Futhermore Caesar didn´t want him to die. In fact he wanted to show his clementia even against him.
