  • I bought a case of these and the label says 1.4g... kind of odd to see a salute labeled 1.4g.

    Where yours labeled the same?

  • @kingofquartz yes the same

A few tips for you if you build your own fireworks. You can use 10 grains of BP as a lift charge and reload a spent 1.4 cake with the bangers to make a nice salute cake with tails and I have also seen them attached to shells. If you attach a banger to the top of a shell the lift charge from the shell ignites the fuse on the banger. Nice way to add a little extra effect to your shells.

  • @kingofquartz Wow, great idea and technique. You got my imagination going on that one.

  • vogelschreck sounds cooler than bird banger.

  • Dave, I got the double. Basically just for noise making purposes on the 4th and New Years. Actually I'm sure my dad will have more fun using them than I will. He loves fireworks but doesnt really light too many off because he got a set of bad legs that keep him from squatting down to light them and getting away quick.

  • @TheHomeScientist yeah but just for the exuding ones the ones that whistle you don't need a stupid ATF permit.

  • 3:43 looks like an FPS

  • is it plastic or metal?

  • In a german online shop it cost 29.99 euro

  • do you have to put real 6 mm bullets in it :O?

  • @displayfireworks1

I always enjoy safely toying around with works to add a little something extra. So many people chunk old cakes when they can be used for so much fun stuff. A good wholesale deal on some mini artillery shells will reload a bunch of old cakes!

  • @displayfireworks1 "I am wondering if I can buy a more powerful blank cap to shoot these further."

There is a website that sells blank guns in .22LR and 9mm that fire these. With the 9mm version there is an attachment that allows you to fire 4 bangers at a time. So you could use more powerful blanks with the banger. I can send you a link to the website if you want. The 9mm blank guns are not cheap (around $150) but they have a mag that holds 7 blanks for rapid fire.
