R.I.P Basil

Basil was my best friend in the whole world. I loved him so much and now he's been taken away from me. Basil was very sick and my parents told me it was selfish to keep him alive any longer. If I could go back in time and change the course of things, I'd take more film and pictures of him. I wouldn't have complained when he lay on my stomach in the mornings or when he tried to lick my face. Basil was there through the ups and downs and I told him everything. Deep inside I know he's gone yet I still keep calling his name, leaving my scraps and making his bed. I've lost an important part of my life that can never be replaced.
Rest in peace basil dog,

I am so sorry about your dog. This had me in tears by 20 seconds. My dog is about to die, he ate fertilizer or something and he's poisoned. Basil seemed like a total sweetheart and I'm sorry for your loss. Is he a schnauzer?

Our dogs (2 cocker spaniels) both died last year aged 13 years. I said " Never again", but my partner arrived home with Alfie, a 5 mth. old wire haired fox terrier two weeks ago and I have fallen completly in love. I'm sorry to hear about Basil's death and understand exactly what you mean about his having been your best friend: Alfie follows me everywhere, both physically and emotionally. xx

My Dogs Name is Basil, And he is a Wire Hair Fox Terrier, that reminds me of another dog my family had lost his name was jock and he still leaves a teardrop in my eye.

I had a fox terrier for 13 years, she just died yesterday from a cancer.

Im currently 18 years old, so she was in my life practicaly since i had the use of reason, its indeed a void that cant be filled again, and i would be lyin if i'd say this didnt bring tears to my eyes, i only wish i wouldve taken her out as much as you did with Basil, now that she's gone, all the time i wasted is what hurts the most. I'm sorry for your loss! Thank you for the video, my Wire Haired Fox Terrier passed away last September. His name was Scrappy and he lived to be 16y/o. Their resemblance is very similar and brought a tear to my eye watching Basil. Scrappy was my best friend as I can see Basil was yours!
