HOW DID THIS WOMAN GET LOST ASIDE FROM THE GAY CLUBS IN THE 70s? SHE SOUNDS AS GOOD AS SYLVIA OR DONNA SUMMER - LOVE THIS RECORD!
Also see "Sugar Pie Guy Pt.1 & especially Pt. 2 by the Joneses. ALL STILL RELEVANT TODAY & THANK YOU POSTING THIS & THANK YOU VINCE ALETTI for raising the prices on my record library through the roof! DAVEDJ
Big Chi-Lites fan; attracted to this clip through the terrific Vince Aletti book "The Disco Files 1973-1978," where the Maryann Farra LP is touted as solid work (see July 17, 1976 entry). What a tasty track! Fluffy as hell, but I love that nonsense chorus and the stinging, descending guitar riff. Underground disco's the best, and thanks for putting the effort into this post.
@thegoldenyear
He (Alleti) also gives it a heads-up on the Dec 6, 75 column, footnoting it....
Yes agreed, great source of info, for the heady days of NY (and beyond) disco...
