  • i have a VHS copy of this and it says 'london 1990' on it. so is 92 the correct year or is 90?

  • It's definitely 1992, precisely July 2, at the Powerhaus.

  • Freya Aswynn is a practitioner of rune magic. She is using the galdr of several runes in the beginning of this clip, to the uninformed, she is just yelling, but of course with DiJ's use of runes, it's the perfect fit in my opinion. Galdor is the magical incantation of runic names and phonetic values, an ancient spiritual practice of the germanic people.

  • @Alexandros5th What could possibly make you think that this in any way resembles Floyd, or copies the winy Rush vocalist? Here's the truth you'd hate to hear: Rush and Pink Floyd are the only bands you know along with two or thee others (same old style) and the only TRUE reason u like them is that u were TOLD they are good by those who weren't exposed to a VARIETY of music to have developed a taste of their own aside the INDUSTRY's taste

So you found a chance to repeat their pompous stupidity

  • @dorkytheurgist93

Yeah, there are some silly David Tibet songs, and even on some of the good ones his voice can be a bit silly. But there is a genuine poetic sensibility of his own that emerges from time to time. With DiJ I just see an arrangement of other people's symbols. In a sense like Pearce is a producer more than an artist.

  • @Alexandros5th. FOOL!!!

  • @Alexandros5th

Stupid fuck or troll? YOU DECIDE!

Yes, you still are going to get replies to that comment after three years.

  • @Alexandros5th u mad?

  • @roquefort88888 I take issue with this for a few reasons. Freya Aswynn is probably the most recognized authority on runes and Asatru. If Pearce's interest in Germanic esoterica is genuine enough for her, it's genuine enough for me. Secondly David Tibet has lots of silly songs. Have you heard the Current 93 song "Crowleymas?" Thelema is pretty much an amalgamation of the paradigms Crowley explored. He even ripped off the title for his "new aeon" religion from an obscure Renaissance philosopher.

  • @flieger315 Actually she is extending her arms in imitation of the Algiz rune. Algiz literally translates to "elk" and is used primarily for protection or to fortify other runes in either runic staves (talismans) or galdr (singing the names of runes, similar to vibration of divine names in ceremonial magic).

  • Simply magic :)
