  • I'm sure the skier can hear the music, but I haven't personally tried it, so I don't know at what distance. I'm sure it won't be as loud and clear for the skier as the boaters who are surrounded by speakers, but with those loudspeakers facing rearward, I'm sure it's significant.

  • OK good video Steve. I like the fact that you are comparing real time and it doesnt look like you rehearsed this video. I'm actually getting ready to buy a boat [no joke just got back from Mission Motor Sports in Irvine CA]. We've been to several dealers and have looked at over 30 boats. I looked at both 09 Yamaha 232 Limited and the 09 Seadoo Challenger 230. Your Video defanitely helped me make a final decision. The Seadoo seems a little cheapy.. Yamaha says quality. I'm buying YAMAHA...

  • Actually I would. That 20 valve engine yamaha has been making since 1988. Granted they were originally put in motorcycles, But it has been engineered for a watercraft. I actually own a 2006 AR and would take that over the SeaDoo any day. The boat is about 500 pounds lighter and no supercharger to deal with and it runs on 87 octane fuel. Bet the Sea Doo can not do that. And the Yamaha is considerably cheaper to buy.

  • daamm that yamaha looks stunning on the outside but the seadoo just does it for me :)

  • Seems like a real cool setup. However you might want to include footage of the wake and show some wakeboarders riding the wake made by the boat.

  • Great Video

  • @trappercv935

Polaris,(BRP/Sea-Doo) makes quads, motorcycles, snowmobiles, and a host of other vehicles. (I own a Buell 1125CR which has a Rotax {BRP} engine in it). They are both great manufacturers. It all boils down to personal brand preference... There really isn't a wrong choice. However, IMHO the Sea-Doo is the best bang for the buck.

  • um who are you to decide what a wake boat is? What, a wake boat HAS to be a gas guzzler, slow, not offshore capable, and a pain in the ass to drive in shallow water? Or maybe that they kill manatees. I don't know what is your criteria on a wake boat but there is a boat for everyone. Maybe jets are the future of wake boats? Progesss can't be stopped. But it can be driven

Btw good job yamaha copy off of air nautiques symbol... Psshhh

  • Um guys..... thats not a wake boat! It is a poser/want to be wake boat it is a jet boat not a inboard therefore not a wakeboarding specific boat.

  • nice video.. did anyone else notice the yamaha was running with the bimini open and the seadoo still could not pull away... I own a 2008 212X it has the board racks and also ballast bags under seats. this adds 750 lbs for better wake. the wake size and shape are decent enough. I love the yamaha for it's room, it's comfort for all on board, and the price was right. if you want a better wake for competition type boarding buy a mastercraft, nautique etc.. but your wallet will hurt.

  • @steveissurfing NAUTIQUE way better

  • hey guys i wiuld like a honest awnser how is the wake size and shape
