Water Bomber CL-415 & Eurocopter EC-130 - Toronto Air Show -

Ministry of Natural Resources Water Bomber CL-415 and Eurocopter EC-130 (***note the video mislabeled the EC-130 as the AS-350 which was originally indicated for the show***) demonstrated two key elements of their forest fire detection, monitoring, suppression and public information.

The Canadair 'Water Bomber' CL-415 heavy waterbombers can scoop more than six tonnes of water (6,130 litres) in 12 seconds and return to a fire fully loaded at 325 km/h. This amphibious tanker, like its predecessor, is the only aircraft in the world designed specifically for aerial waterbombing of forest fires. Ontario owns and operates nine CL-415s.

The Eurocopter EC-130 fly in support of the Ministry's fire and specialty resource management programs.

@capreol5 do you wanna fly fixed wing or choppers ?? cuz canadore only has a helicopter program. and trust me man. canadores program is JUNK go to helicopters canada which is right at North Bays airport. it is a WAY WAY WAY better program. trust me lol

I've been in those water bombers :) and i've flown that 130. My dad is the top helicopter Pilot of the MNR he didnt fly at the show but i know the pilot lol i pretty much know all the MNR pilots lol arent they beautiful aircraft :) im going to canadore next year to follow in daddy's footsteps lol
