He was visibly in schock and in disbelief. Schumacher :

  • "Photographs of Ayrton Senna after the accident were taken by Senna's friend and Autosprint's picture editor, Angelo Orsi. Out of respect, those photographs have never been sold to interested parties."

  • Okay, im sorry, but you honestly can't compare Senna and Schumacher. Schumacher is a fine tuned German driving weapon. His driving is incredibly aggressive, and in all honesty he made clowns out of those racing against him during his prime. He could be likened to Floyd Mayweather today, i suppose. But Senna is like Muhammad Ali. I remember, everyone i knew back them was rooting for senna during every race. He is a legend and a deity in F1. If you're a true F1 fan, you like them both.

  • @beastleet I guess, that it would be rather Ali vs Klitschko.

After all, it's about the two greatest drivers the world has ever seen.

  • @KartingApexKing Contrary to some other drivers Schumacher was always looking for new challenges.

It took him 2 years to bring Benetton to the top, and 4 years (!) to lead the Scuderia to world title again for the 1st time since 1979. That my friend is an achievement of a really unique and exceptional driver called Michael Schumacher.

He had "wasted" many years. He could have won even more championships. But unlike Prost or Senna, MS never moved to a team which the best was.

  • it's annoying how much hate there is in videos like this

  • I agree with all these drivers being among the best, I wonder how Fangio and Vettel would compare if they could race, I know cars like the BRM V16 were very hard to drive, compare the tyres. I used to compete in sports cars and saloon cars 40 years ago, MG, Lotus, Jaguar, Austin Healey, and Sunbeam etc. with some success but I don`t put myself in the same class as any of them.

  • @thylegion, McLaren and Ferrari had also illegal cars and they used illegal composures on their cars in order to cheat (ala Benetton); the difference between them and Benetton is simple: they won the damn championship! Also, some specialists questioned the legality of Williams’s cars (Senna). -- statsf1.com

The FIA simply lose it (1, 2, 3, 4th team cheated). Anyway F1 engineers always try to find the gray area. By the way, Senna wasn't an angel either (many incidents w/ Prost).

  • @Legend33Larry Oh come the fuck on, dude. At Aida he finished his race at first corner thanks to Mika. At Interlagos he was leading, but Benetton used illegal fuel rig and so MSC passed Senna in the pits (read about it). At Imola he was leading - but he had an accident. So as you can see, MSC, after Senna's death, won with Hill with launch controlled Benetton - wow, some achievement. I understand people can love MSC, but they need to learn about 1994 season and Benetton facts first...

  • *he still collected 8 wins in the first 11 races**

  • @thylegion, Schumacher have been banned for 3 races in '94; he still collected 8 wins in 11 races (one was stripped at Belgium), while Senna scored 0 point in 3 races!

FIA, as always, scripted his championship.

Benetton had 8 wins in '94 (all came from Schumi's wheels)!

  • It pisses me off to see Bernie Ecclestone apple-polishing Vettel, he and Jackie Stewart saying he is one of the best drivers in F1 history. Ohh c'mon what has he done? Won 2 world titles racing for a far superior team? Don't get me wrong, he has done his job right so far, but I think there is a lot more to prove before putting him among the best ones...

  • @MrMitchi1983 can you prove that schumacher would've won 1994 (and so on) championship if Ayrton was alive?! Hill was ONE point from the championship win after car was upgraded, Ayrton was FAR better than Hill... Enough said. Stop your bullshitting :/
