" I was out drinking with Lou Reed one night and we were talking about what to do with the master tapes of the velvet underground and nico that he'd bought without the rest of the band knowing and he said he wanted Heroin to sound more like a rocket or a plane taking off. We went back to my studio and I cooked up this But his only comment was 'It makes John (Cale) too loud !.... I'm still waiting on the call to remix the whole album"
