I went to animal kingdom just the other day on 10-18-08 and the parrot only said hello and four, four, four, and fore!

@juist38 Please be SURE you can spend much time with your bird. They need constant attention. If you're at work, they can stay in their cage outside under shelter or whatever, but when you come home they must be allowed to stand on top of their cage or climb around it for a few hours. They need you to talk to them all the time, and you need to care for their diet properly, not just black sunflower seeds which gives them fatty liver disease and can cause feather plucking.

we had an amazon green parrot for years and you could almost hold a coversation with it. Parrots are very intelligent and do know what they are saying. They definately have a sense of humour. Our parrot used to sing too. Lovely clip

I was just going to comment with this, but I realized you already had. It frustrates me when parrots don't get the credit they deserve. Maybe some of them are mimickers, but they have the ability to understand what they're saying.
