Smile, please. And I have a cat. You forgot to mention the trifecta of cleaning up after the kitty. My cat pees, poops and pukes. There was once she did all 3 within an hour... I cleaned up after her for about 15 years (yes, she's about 15 yrs old). Luckily, she acts cute enough to make up for it. :)

Also, the other person has to be willing to take care of a cat. Otherwise, you'd be foisting a responsibility on someone who doesn't want it, cute or not.
