thanks for the comment. in spite of thinking that we should never try to compare 2 great singers (each one has particular characteristics, that's why they are special), i also think this is a great version, and i love it too :)

@streetwhereulive i agree, she's not competing with the orchestra like many singers do, she's "accentuating" it with her gorgeous voice. Arlene Auger was like that too - her voice just became part of the orchestra in the most gorgeous way.

Is she a Mezzo Soprano? Her voice seems lower. For someone like me that is totally without operatic education, it sounds delightful. There is a feeling of control I get from her instead of blasting the house down. Not that I'm being critical of anyone's taste. This sound just happens to suite me better. It is beautiful to my ears. Thanks for sharing.

@Ovido59 cecillia is more expressive in almost every thing. she is one of a kind and you are right. and whoever dosnt want to hear different opinions, well, I cant see why is he making us read his or hers own. besides, all this panicking.... gues that person is not as confident in his opinions...
