@TazzGreg No, no, no ,no....Naoussa and Messologgi are the only Heroic towns in Greece... This ''name'' was given by the goverment to these two towns only because of the sacrifise during the war against Turkish. Sparta's heroic actions are from the ancient times and it's a different thing!!!

@manasisdancegroup Excuse me but someone must show you the original dances immediately.... I am from Naoussa and it's embaressing for me to watch something like this!!! This is not our tradition and if you like to show something about greek tradition make sure that you perfom it in the right way.... This is something more than embarassing truly....

@manasisdancegroup I believe if you live abroad and you claim to promote Greek Dance and Culture then it is your responsibility to do just that. Villages that have withstood wars occupation and time have succumb to the MTV generation and are slowly dissappearing. It is great for our youth to be proud to be greek but they have to know why. If you dont understand why i get upset or why you are getting backlash from the greek community on Facebook then i feel sorry for your students.

@manasisdancegroup I am sorry if i hurt your feelings but you asked what was wrong and when i told you tried to be snide in your response, if you dont want feedback from your performances , then in the future dont ask for peoples critiques on your videos. True art stands the test of time and our dances and culture are just that and more. We both live abroad and in this day and age when the world is trying to become a melting pot , We are the Vanguards for our culture our history.

@manasisdancegroup Save the creative BS for the tourists that have know clue of what you are doing, You use traditional Music wear traditional clothing and you call yourselves a school of Greek dance and Culture , and then you are amazed at the backlash you get? Call yourselves An Interprative greek dance group and drop the culture from your title because you are not following culture and definately not tradition.
and hypothetically, lets say that we know absolutely nothing about Naousa's history... what is so bad about this performance? other than the uniformity and choreography which was creted specifically for this "show", what is so different and wrong about it?

@manasisdancegroup WHATS WRONG? ARE YOU SERIOUS? I cant begin to tell you how many things are wrong. these dances which you are butchering have specific steps and styling from the region of Naousa. this over choreographed garbage wouldnt stand a chance competing against true folkdance troupes . YOU call your selves a school of greek dance and culture, SHOW ME!!!!!!! learn what your dancing .

@georgeellas ... thanks george for the offer to compete. we only compete with professional dance groups, not social clubs whos interest lie purely in maintaining traditional folk. we occasionally like to be creative. again, thanks for the offer but we respectfully decline.

@manasisdancegroup Social clubs? LOLOL we run the FDF greek folkdance competion 176 troupes with over 4000 dancers most advanced troupes compete as well as perform all over northamerica as well as in Greece. I have studied both at the Ellikion Ellinidon of Athens as well as for Dora Stratou! If you ever want to learn the Dances properly and not be ridicouled by the Greek comunity on Facebook then let me know, as for competing ,your troupe would be laughed off the stage sopls savethesnide remark

@georgeellas thank you again for your interest. i wish you luck organising the FDF, i have seen many videos of this event in the past, and irrespective of geographical inconveninences, we would rather not participate in such a competition where an organiser would ridicule and belittle the efforts of any cultural group- which in your opinion may be accurate or not.
