We've just switched from a Dyson DC07 to a Riccar RSL3 and there is such a huge difference in suction between the two. The Dyson was okay when we bought it and for about 6 months, but it has gotten worse over time and repeatedly cleaning the filters has made little measurable difference. The first 2 minutes of vacuuming with the Dyson is basically wasted time.
Anyone looking at vacuums needs to skip over Dyson and Oreck and head straight to Riccar/Simplicity. Americans still make great stuff!

Does the Riccar Brilliance have a belt that you need to have replaced?

@zmanifest The first time I used it after getting mine fixed it made this loud screeching sound that made me almost have a heart attack.

@bobcat101100 I have a Dyson DC24"mini"Ball and it doesn't use a belt' it uses a clutch to drive it's brush bar.
I live next to your shop on Chandler Blvd and have been buying parts from them for awhile. I collect vacuums, so I need bags often! Do you guys still sell used vacuums at any of your locations? There seems to be a growing demand for high-quality used vacuums such as older Kirbys and Electroluxs. Great to see you're on the internet!

@bagintheback Wow! That's pretty cool that your a customer. Thank you. While we mostly sell new stuff there is always a time or two that we'll sell a rebuilt Kirby, Lux, Tri star, etc. By the way that store is being moved as I'm writing this. Same center but now in front facing Chandler Blvd. If you ever need anything old parts, bags etc. and that store doesn't have it. Try the Gilbert store 480)786-5100
Thanks, Corey
