The Mid-Ohio Valley will soon be known as the Great Ohio Valley for entrepreneurs and startups based on the economic development plans by the West Virginia University Parkersburg campus.
On Monday August 8, 2011, the President of WVU-P, Dr. Marie Foster Gnage, and the head of Workforce Development for WVU-P, Mary Beth Busch, met with executives from Integrated Management Services to share their vision and tour the actions they are taking to build a world class, state of the art economic development center in downtown Parkersburg, WV.
The executives took a tour of the 32,000 square foot space on historic Market Street that is in the process of being developed into an multi-functional economic development center. The center will house five unique institutes for Economic Development Leadership, Hospitality Management & Culinary Arts, Science Technology Engineering Arts & Mathematics (STEAM), Applied Entrepreneurship Studies and a Cisco Academy.
