  • St. Francis is featured in the book Christian Vegetarian Saints by Dr. Holly Roberts.

Wish Franciscans would follow his compassion for animals and how he followed Gospel principles.

  • @Godscre1

I'm sure if they did follow that and even more in his austerity, that this world WOULD be a better place. Even more so, if we all tried to imitate the True Christ... :)

  • heheheh my fav.saints

  • Yup, they were great. Did a lot for the World! :)

  • i agree with Mojave19, the "cowgirl country twang" doesn't really fit as well with this film set in medieval Italy about such a revered saint; but i have to add this much, as a franciscan i believe the message of this song fits both the message and life of Francis and Clare very well. it's about living our life as a dance, full of heartfelt joy taking chances to give love fearlessly, and never lose faith.

thanks. the sentiments of the song was well done.

  • Funny how I'm not a big country fan.... but, I chose the song for the lyrics :) so yeah.

  • Thanks for posting this except from the film Clare and Francis.

Lovely song too, but IMHO, with its cowgirl country twang, it's not a match for a film about a medieval Italian saint.

I don't like seeing those obviously tweezed eyebrows on St. Clare either. Heck, even to this day a lot of European women don't take a razor or set of tweezers to their bodies.
