Many of our friends in our trailer park use this for evening heat or to take the chill off and it works great. None of us have had any problems with fumes etc. Some even use it on camping trips in their tents when the temp drops. We love ours and don't know how we did without it.

A word of Warning if you plan to use this Mr.Heater in a Very Cold Place. Let's say Ice fishing(house)and it is Zero degrees. Your 1 lb tank/s will Freeze up half way through, Every Time! May be good to take the Chill out of a room in the Winter. Do Not count on this heater in very cold conditions. It will NOT work as intended.

Mr.Heater will repair it if you ship it to them.

So I drilled a hole in my bathroom floor and ran a 12' hose to a 20 lb tank in our very drafty basement.
I guess my first question is "am I gonna die"?
Second, how bad would it be if I left the tank open (hoses connected) instead of turning it off after use?

Well, it says if you connect a 20lbs. tank, to put that tank outdoors, and run the hose indoors, because if the tank does explode, it will destroy your house. I use the 1 lbs. portable tanks, they last about 5 hours a tank, but the risk is up to you, I'm sure you are not the only person to hook to a 20lbs. tank
