just a short clip of what my HypnoBirthing experience was like :) Note, the moaning was just a way to release the 'energy', not because of the pain (which I didn't experience at all)

  • Can you share where an imminent mama-to-be can get her hands on the recording you used for this birth? I am very interested (and my 'due date' is in one week)! Thanks.

  • @mtpeacock music is by Steven Halpern, I used tracks from "Inner Peace' and "Ocean Suite". Wishing you smooth and peaceful birth :)

  • You did so well you shoudld o it at home next time!!!! And it sounds like you had a wonderful support partner (hubby)

  • @KatsKaptures thank you! actually we did do it at home after my second birth, x2 :) my third birth is in my uploads as well...

  • actually, hypnotherapy is nothing like drugs. It's simply deep relaxation. If you completely relax your body during birth there is no pain.

  • If my doctor tells me that there is "failure to progress" I will slap him silly and get all my frustration and pain out on him. That's a horrible thing to say. don't voice it!! or, if you must voice it, tell the husband, in private. Telling the laboring mother that she's not progressing isn't going to help her relax and progress. If anything, it will make her stress out more!

  • thanks for posting this video! it is great to see that Hypnobirthing is working for so many people. My husband and I are expecting our first child in May and are currently practicing the breathing and relaxation techniques. It really makes a lot of sense to me, seeing as how animals in nature so easily give birth to their young without a lot of fuss. The medicalization of low risk births baffles me and is dehumanizing to both the baby and the parents.

  • @nursejaci yes I agree... I used it with my last child, who i had at home.. It was amazing!! It was so quick because I didnt evenm know I was in labor, because the pressure waves were like nothing to me and I figured it had to be more practice waves. So I didnt know and thankfully my midwives were coming to my house just to check on me when my water broke! When my water broke I knew this was really it because I felt all that pressure and could feel her head! She was born 33 minutes later! :)

  • A beautiful video. I'm a guy, and stuff like this keeps reminding me how amazing women are. By the way, I myself was born on April 3rd, which happened to be the Easter Day of that year!

  • Hypnobirthing sounds funny but really is a great tool! I practiced it during my pregnancy and birth and it helped me to have a beautiful, loving birth that wasn't painful or stressful. Having such an incredible birth was so inspiring that I became a nat. childbirth teacher and now I get to see it help so many other Mommas. Birth really can be an amazing and magical experience if you allow it to be! Mommas you are beautiful, strong and capable. Believe in yourself.
