Very unique to the Sugar Hollow Trout Hatchery operation is all the water that circulates through the Hatchery is sourced from an aquifer and pumped at a rate of 800 gallons per minute. Water then travels to the Fee Fishing Pond and eventually finds it's way back into nearby Bowman's Creek. The primary pump is a 20hp 3-phase pump which is backed up by two smaller 10hp pumps. The pumps can each be operated individually or in combination to ensure an adequate water supply to the hatchery. Additionally there is a standby generator which maintains sufficient power in case of a utility power interruptions. Please visit our website: http://sugarhollowtrout.com
