Too slow?
And why would I not be a bassist?
This is a review, not me playing fast. If you want to see me play fast maybe check out my video "Nile - Execration Text".
Don't look at a review for talent, look at a review for the instrument.
Also look up videos on how to develop common sense, it seems as though you need it.

Wow!!! The 8th string are very low!!!
-
dang thats low did you need a special amp for the low 8th string? and what is its tuning F#,B,E,A,D,G,C,F ?

@Saggrisch They stopped making them which is a shame! They come up on ebay for stupidly high prices (like £500 or more!) When i've seen them go for £150 which is more appropirate really given the non adjustable bridge! If you get one great catch though! If you get it for below £300 then go for it!

U got any idea where I can get one of these babes, man?

@AntiHero1996 lol DONT replace. first off they are not easy to replace. remember there longer than normal. you would have to get someone to custom build the pickups
If I were to buy this bass (completely hypothetically, sadly), what pickups would you recommend to replace the stock ones? I'm a guitarist, and I don't know too much about bass electronics. I actually thought these pickups sounded really good, but I'm guessing you would probably know better, seeing as you are the bassist. Help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

The tone is quite good with the stock pickups but a good set of pickups can make this bass really sing.
I have been looking about myself for pickups for this, my perfect ones would be Conklin or Delano but seeing as I live outside America they will work out quite dear with import duty and such, so I am looking about for custom made bass pickups in Europe. Currently the most promising look to be Benedetti, they seem to be very highly thought off and reasonably priced!

for good pickups i'd say EMG's or Seymore Duncans are the best, but that's just my personaly opinion

Those companys are much more guitar orientated then bass, also they don't make any 8 string models for guitar, let alone bass! Sadly.
Thanks for watching ;)
