But what did you use to get it set up, obviously a mic, what else? I just wanna try get a set up going

yea man. get a mic and an xlr (mic cable) to 1/4" (guitar cable) adapter and plug that baby into some effects units, then run those to an amp or speaker system.

How did you go about doing this I've wanted to experiment for so long but how do you get it set up?

you should just figure out what effects you like, and then try them out one at a time until you can combine them to make a lot of different sounds. i am using chorus, harmony, distortion, and delay effects here.
