-Storia-
Si sa molto poco sul passato di Apheles. Era, come Zakron, uno dei Grandi Maestri (il suo elemento è sconosciuto), ma, a differenza dei suoi "fratelli", era più ambizioso e avido di potere. Un giorno trovò la Kanohi Ignika e, sapendo del suo immenso potere, decise di indossarla, pensando di essere in grado di controllare la maschera. Invece, le sue energie consumarono immediatamente lo spirito di Apheles, ma non riuscirono a distruggere il suo corpo. Così lo spirito dell'Ignika si trasferì nel corpo ormai vuoto del Grande Maestro, e si ritirò su una montagna. Qui, passò millenni di meditazione ed è ancora lì, ignaro della guerra in corso tra l'Esercito di Icarax ed i Ribelli.
-Abilità e Caratteristiche-
Apheles è praticamente senza emozioni, senza bisogno di amicizia o di amore, di fedeltà o avidità. Non mangia o beve mai, nè dorme. Le sue giornate sono trascorse a meditare e cercare di aumentare la sua conoscenza. Non ha un sesso, ma viene spesso definito un maschio a causa della sua voce maschile (l'Apheles originale era, infatti, un maschio).Attraverso questa meditazione ha imparato a usare, oltre ad i poteri di Vita che già possedeva, vaste abilità di Tempo e Spazio. Ora è in grado di rallentare o accelerare il tempo, viaggiare nel tempo, muoversi tra le dimensioni attraverso portali dimensionali creati da lui, e anche distorcere lo Spazio stesso. In aggiunta ali poteri vitali già citati, queste capacità lo rendono la creatura più potente di tutta Magna Nui.
-Maschera e Strumenti-
Apheles indossa la Kanohi Ignika, Maschera della Vita - in effetti, E' l'Ignika. Ha abbandonato le armi che l'Apheles originale possedeva, e invece ha realizzato un lungo bastone per incanalare e amplificare i suoi poteri. Le sue ali alimentate ad energia lo possono trasportare molto velocemente e molto lontano, così come aiutarlo a cambiare la sua direzione in viaggi spazio-temporali.

-History-
Very little is known about Apheles' past. He was, like Zakron, one of the Great Masters (his Element is unknown), but, unlike his "brothers", he was more ambitious and power-hungry. One day he found the Kanohi Ignika and, knowing of its immense power, he decided to put it on, thinking to be able to control the mask. Instead, its energies immediately consumed Apheles' spirit, but they couldn't destroy his body. So the Ignika's spirit moved in the now empty Great Master's body and retired on amountain. Here, it spent millennia meditating and it's still there, unaware of the war that's going on between Icarax's Army and the Rebels.
-Abilities and Traits-
Apheles is virtually emotionless, with no need of friendship or love, of loyalty or greed. He never eats or drinks, nor he sleeps. His whole days are spent meditating and trying to increase his knowledge. He is also genderless, but he is often referred as a male because of his masculine voice (the original Apheles was, in fact, a male). Through this meditation he learnt to use, besides the Life powers he already possessed, vast Time and Space abilities. Now he's able to slow down or speed up time, time-travelling, moving between dimensions through dimensional gates he creates and even distorting Space itself. In addition to the previously mentioned Life powers, these abilities make him the most powerful being in the whole Magna Nui.
-Mask and Tools-
Apheles wears the Kanohi Ignika, Mask of Life - in fact, he IS the Ignika. He abandoned the weapons the original Apheles carried, and instead he crafted a long staff to channel and amplify his powers. His energy-powered wings can carry him very fast and very far, as well as help him to change his direction in space-time travels.
