The Blue Snowball Microphone works on both Mac and PC with no complicated drivers to install: just connect it to your computer's USB port, follow the prompts and you'll have high-fidelity sound in no time. It's perfect for podcasting, voice recognition software, iChat, and VoIP software such as Skype and Vonage. Or use it for dictation, field recording, lecture recording, and narration for slideshows and PowerPoint presentations. The sky's the limit. It's even great for recording music via GarageBand and other multitrack recording software.

  • I wonder why is isn't blue?

  • @zxcnjfrsfg from their website "Snowballs manufactured after July, 2007 (with serial numbers higher than 76-065000) are 7 and Vista compatible. Snowballs with serial numbers lower than this are not Vista compatible."

  • @AngryCrowTakesFlight there is no reason why it shouldn't seeing as though it doesn't need software or drivers...

  • @AngryCrowTakesFlight really?! that stinks. I figured plug and play would work with anything...?

  • @zxcnjfrsfg apparently not.

  • Is it compatible with windows 7 64 bit?

  • I use this microphone for my podcast. If you guys want to hear the quality then check out my channel. I have some 'how' to' videos that use the mic. The actual podcast that we do the recording for is Ask Adam League and it's Don The Producer that is using the Blue Microphone.

  • @mcelusive Naww im like 1 to 3 meters away when i sing, then after the vocals i master the sounds, but still, it distorts alot.

  • @nickvisstick it distorts coz ya too close.. lol

  • Not recommended for singing powerful songs with high loud notes, whenever you raise your voice, it distorts.
