  • No, if you watch the match closely, Terry attempts to play Oblivion ring on Manuel's Baneslayer Angel, in response to the O-ring, Manuel plays Brave the Elements, however, in response to that, Terry plays a path to exile on the Baneslayer while the Brave the elements is on the stack, so although brave the elements was played, it never had a chance to resolve which means it never actually protected the angel, hope that clears things up for you =)

  • LOL I like that "Do you want the Steppe Lynx?" lol

  • @silentwolfe94 I said that wrong, lol. I meant to say he should have responded to the casting, not to the coming into play. I've played and dealt with them before, I was probably just a little tired when I wrote that previous comment.

  • Im sorry if I offend anyone, but I'm SO glad Randy's gone now. He's so fumbly and annoying. Every other sentence is "I think I know Magic. Do I BDM?" I'm not a huge fan of Rich Hagan either but at least he is confident in his knowledge of the game

  • @LucianDevine Enter the battlefeild effects are part of the resolution of a permanent. You gain priority when they cast, pass it, and don't get it back until they play something, attack, or change phases. So no, there is no time to respond, the ability doesn't go on the stack. Only triggered and activated abilities do.

  • what kind of sleeve did they all use?

    dragonshield?

  • @kanersan

I do think though, that he could have responded to the Skyfisher coming into play. In that case he's not responding to it's trigger, but before the trigger even goes on the stack.

  • Yes but if you Brave the Elements the Baneslayer after the Path to Exile target is declared, than the Path fizzles. Correct?

  • Nobody understands the stack on youtube

  • Kor Skyfisher:

10/1/2009: The triggered ability doesn't target a permanent. You choose which one to return to its owner's hand as the ability resolves. No one can respond to the choice.
