  • Hi, nice to hear from you, thanks for writing : )

Did Kyle tune it well? I've heard lots of good things about him & Pantheon Steel. No I'm sure they wouldn't tune it in future now. Big respect to them though, there are not so many true purists out there!

  • ;) - Yes, he did a pretty good job. I have a video in my list that is called "Hang Tuning Experiment". Basically, it's a before and after video. I did rush him a bit, as I had an impending gig. And early on, I damaged my F , and foolishly tried to repair it on my own. (don't do it. : O ). I did get my F back, but lost the harmonics. Kyle did the best he could with my efforts before him.

  • Yes, BIG respect to PANArt for sure. I wish I had the opportunity to meet them, as I have Kyle. If not for them...this magic probably would not exist now.

  • Ding sounds flat...Sabine & Felix will tune it for 50 Euros if you send it back to Bern...

  • This video is over a year old. I've sent my Hang to Kyle at Pantheon Steel since this video was taken. Honestly, I don't think Felix and Sabina would touch my Hang at this point, considering my involvement with Kyle and his Halo.

  • what is the name of this instrument?

  • This is called a Hang from PANArt of Switzerland. It is made by Felix Rohner and Sabina Scharer. I also play an instrument called a Halo, from Pantheon Steel. It shares many of the same qualities as the Hang. Check out my other videos to see.

  • hey!! where i can buy one of this instruments on web or not ?

  • tres tres belle video :)

  • Awesome as always, Danny!!

  • Cool, i love this instrument.

I don`t play but the sound is awesome.

  • fantastic job!!!!

  • I love the sirens too by the way!

  • ...I swear I nearly cried! It took me a little while to contact the Hanghaus & Felix very kindly called me several times in answer to my emails. Really cool & charming & genuinely interested in what I used the Hang for, music, meditation etc. I sent it over to Bern & a nerve wracking few weeks went by before it arrived back singing beautifully once again, with a groovy new hard case & brass ring fitted as Felix recommended. You are right the magic would definitely not exist without them!

  • My own Hang horror story - I was over the moon when I finally found my Hang & connected with it immediately having spent a year visualizing myself playing one & learning techniques etc. I had just bought a new car & placed the Hang behind my driver's seat to protect it from sliding around in the trunk or on the back seat. I climbed in the car & the driver's seat had returned electronically to the position the previous owner had set it to...I pressed the button & mechanically compressed my hang!
