Trying out my new rifle. Very tame, a lot of fun. Built in 1942, shoots an 8mm mauser (7.92). Using Romanian surplus ammo dated to 1976. Very clean and very accurate. Range was approximately 15 miles behind Gowen field.

  • Were you using reloads or something? The rounds sound pretty weak compared the milsurp I use with my Turkish Mauser.

  • @BubbaLight84

Nah, it was Romanian surplus, lot of a wind and a less-than-stellar camera made them sound pretty weak.

  • i am also a kyle with a Turkish Mauser, & a VZ-24 & M48,...Kyles with Mausers are awesome.....(^_^)

  • Heck yeah!

  • mauser is pretty cool guy. eh kills stuffed animals and doesn't afraid of anything.

  • @kylethelincey Ah, OK. I picked up some Romanian surplus myself a while back. Still have some Turkish surplus as well. The Turkish M38 is a great rifle and reasonably priced.
