City development the way we all experience it every day here, is of course only part of the story. The future city waiting for everybody is as exciting, but a bit more subdued. Singapore's cemeteries have been some of my favourite places as long as I am living here. Following the rites of passage of the communities as a photographer ending up in the various graveyards scattered over the island was a natural progression. This here is by far the biggest now and as the island population grows most probably the only one in the future. Multi racial and multi religious and well planed, like most city-planning established and than meticulously executed starting in the mid 70s. With a few cuts, to stay within the uTube's 10 minute limit, and with Mozart's Mass in C-minor in the background, we starting with the Christian, than the Chinese, followed by the Muslim Sections, finally those cremated, mostly in the Hindu, Buddhist or Christian Columbarium. We are in the central western part of the island. Saturday afternoon. Why not ?
Is there not a site where developments have not taken over, lol?
