Aaron takes his two Christmas Eve New Born goats in to get castrated and debudded. Thanks to Mr. Lemhouse at Del Oeste large vet clinic in Eugene Oregon everything went perfect. Both goats are back with their mother milking away.

  • Great info. I raised sheep, so the debudding I never saw. I'd denut and trim the tail with bands. After a while, they'd just fall off.

  • Yes I will use the rubber band method soon. I have a family friend who will show me that they have over 80 sheep. I will try to make a video then too.

  • Interesting, but my question would be is the out pocket money for the vet kinda takes all the profits away from the meat value of the goats ?

  • Yes youre right. In the future I will do it myself. The vet cost me $36 a goat not bad but I can save that by doing it myself.

  • People around here have goats, for the castration, they use an elastic band that they put around the scrotom. And for the hornes, they are just left in place.

  • Yes I will use the Rubber Band method. I'm told if you don't debud the horn can possibly grow strait out. Enabling one goat to kill others. I think it all depends on the breed.

  • This is the first video that shows how it's done properly. I'm not a fan of banding or crimping because the testicles have to die and fall of the body and that gives a bigger chance to infections. People like to use the bands just because it's cheaper and they don't feel the need to use local anesthetic.

  • @adb024 by making your goat go through pain

  • thank you so much for taking him to a vet

  • Why are the horns debudded? $36 a goat is waaay cheaper then castrating a dog or cat! MUCH more humane than banding/crimping. Thanks for sharing.

  • @TheMrsVolfie the rubber band method involes putting a very tight rubber band around the testicles and letting them ROT off the animals body and yes there is a very high risk of infection it can take weeks for the nuts to fall off.PLEASE,PLEASE,PLEASE do the right thing and have a vet do this.

  • @SJRANCH2 you sick pig why dont you put one of those precious bands around your nuts ans see if it dont hurt then wait for it to get all infected.

  • at least you had the SENSE to take them to a vet to have this done instead of using those INHUMANE,CRULE,DANGEROUS bands that some jackoffs use very good on your part thank you.

  • ewwwwwww............i am not hungry any more

  • Much more humaner

  • Just the info on disbudding I was looking for. I rubber band my animals very easy to do!!!
