@gothos1000 watever troll, were not holding onto a "MAT"
-
the only place in australia crazier than this is the right

Spongers may have the confidence to drop in where a surfer might think twice, but they have less to lose. For one thing, they're holding on to a MAT. I've never really liked the idea of my surfboard being attached to me when I'm taking a beating..but that's the risk I take.. I mean.. I guess if your fin flies off your foot and slices your head open..I guess that'd be a gnarly aspect of bodyboarding...

Great video. What an insanely heavy wave. Well gone, lads. Stand up, bodyboarders, etc., who cares? Much respect to all who would go out and ride there. I've surfed most my life and would be perfectly happy sitting on the cliff...WATCHING.

Er, standups didn't find it, fishermen did. I used to go out with my friends and watch this shit break before anyone decided they were going to try and surf it. I don't even know what the fuck you're talking about with the bra boys. I used to live in Tassie, and maybe cause it was a small place and waves pretty uncrowded, but boogers and stand ups got along fine. Also, waves like this, ours, shark island, blackrock are sort of made for bodyboarding. Tow in? Go buy a set of water skis.

song please?

the step at shippies is incredible
+ pretty sure bodyboarders can drop off that step a million times better than a surfer can
but surfers carve better
there are pros and cons for both
-
but its breaking on rocks! and its like 50m away from a rock wall
-
don't care what you ride.. just don't drop in on me cunts!
its all about the tube, not whether you surf or bodyboard. lol cmon guys

i bodyboard, and my mates surf. we all want the same thing - good waves, and the only real difference is that surfers stand up and bodyboarders lie prone. so if your gonna hate on bodyboarders or on surfers get the fuck out, no one here wants to listen to your crap
