My fave travel-friendly palette has to be The Balmbini from TheBalm. I got 3 of them on sale (gave one to my SIL when she commented on how great I looked). 2 blushes, 2 eyeshadow, 1 highlighter, a lipstick and a gloss and a big mirror in something no bigger than a CD case. Brushes, foundation and mascara and you're set! Took it on a week long trip with almost nothing else and had everything I needed.

@pattifudge I know I'm not her, but she does have a video on this product. Smashbox photo op mega palette. check qvc it's $100 on there. Or check eBay, I just purchased one for $70. All you need is that palette brushes and foundation. Please search it on here and find her video. This product is amazing!
