I don't personally like some of the prime ministers decisions either, but what government in our history has every had the whole country agree with them and respect them. If there were any, I think they'd still be in power. Also if earth hour does nothing else, it raises awareness of climate change.

I was having a party that night - I turned a lot of lights on, loud music, stuff like that. Fuck this loser. Instead of turning off your power on ONE DAY (retarded fucking idea, by the way), you could introduce people to the idea of scheduling times during the day when they can turn their crap off - all year around. If only there was a way to charge people more who use more electricity, that way the poor or those who use power wisely do not have to pay for those who use it in excess. I just wish there was a way to "meter" the electricity and charge accordingly and maybe there could be a body of some kind which would send out a "bill" for such usage. Maybe it could even be done for water usage too! Thank goodness for Earth Hour, because no such system exists. >:)

i think the Australian prime minister keeping her mouth shut would stop a lot of green house gases since she obviously has no real concern for her people 10%of whom she keeps in slavery with police pseudo watch ,i think they should also ban this ranga from buying double a batteries till she scraps the drug laws let her know what its like to want .regards the motorcycle messiah and the junkies against crime PSshe should stop censorship of our web sites the fascist

Hey andy, what resulted from our effort of turning off our lights? oh yes thats right, fuck all, i had my windows open, aircon blasting, all lights on, even the lamps. i couldnt possibly turn anything else on in the house during that hour, so i think about 100 people wasted their time because of me. Fuck earth hour, biggest joke.

The world turning off it's lights for an doesn't do anything to save the enviroment and from what I've seen has a negative effect because people seem to get it in their head that they are doing their bit. This event is a joke.
