1935 Mills Dancemaster Jukebox (Ferris Wheel mechanism) with color animation units added playing a Vogue picture disc. The sound has been greatly improved since last posting (particularly the bass and volume) by adding a series of capacitors and filters and completely overhauling the tone arm including replacing the rubber gaskets surrounding the neeedle.

  • Thanks ... it does sound great with added filters and capacitors.

  • never seen a 78 picture disk is that old or re-pro I would not run it in a juke if it is rare

  • @force311999 That's an original Vogue picture disc, from the 1940's. Plays fine with a sapphire needle and a lightened tone arm; these are deep groove recordings and actually sound best with a restored tone arm/amp/volume control, changed capacitors to boost bass. Sounds great! Listen especially to "Tequila" which I've posted, be sure you have a bass enhancement.

  • Such a beautiful machine and in incredible shape! It sounds amazing from what I can tell in this vid. It gets all it can from that Vogue.. I was surprised to hear as much high end as I did. What's the title by the way? I'm digging the tune

  • @PJDooWop The tune is "At Sundown" recorded by Clyde McCoy. Sorry, the comments above should have been addressed to you. Thanks again for stpping by!

  • I just love watching this player, but I can work out what or how each record spins.

  • @mazzone1 Thanks for the comments! This machine has just been completely stripped down and, restored to a wonderful blonde lustre...you see here the old pictures. As soon as I have time I will post new videos showing the renovation. The sound has also been improved even more by adding some resistors here and there and re-doing the volume control, which boosted the bass considerably. Also, the tone arm was completely done over, including replacing the rubber pieces around the needle head.

  • Such a rare machine, with even a rarer 78. Seen this one, but don't own one yet. Well done!

  • @perryclouse1 I think it is like a rim drive a tire runs ageist the metal plate but not shire

  • @force311999 what actually makes the turntable move since each record has its own plate nobody has actually shown or told what moves the individual plates

  • Wow! You've done a lot to brighten that thing up! Very nice job and sounds great! Boy it really slams that tone arm back doesn't it? LOL!
