September 10th to September 11, 2001

I was doing some video photography for my artwork the evening before September 11, 2001. I was going to a job fair the next morning, and when I heard about the World trade center attack at the corner store I ran home and saw it from my window. I grabbed my camera I had no time to find a blank cassette so I used what I had and recorded this video on the roof of my apartment. I had the sense that something big was happening and I ran to the school where I could me my wife and kids to take them out of school and bring them safely home. When I heard it was an act of terrorism, and I saw smoke and dust all over the streets I thought it was a first strike against the U.S. and I wanted to get my wife and kids home to safety.
