While these are both important statistics, Sanford is fighting for these to be state issues. When PA pools money from the Nat. Gov't, the other 49 states contribute, costing PA nothing. With that in mind, there would be nothing to stop PA from asking for far more money than it needs. When this happens some states get more money than they can use effectively, while others are shortchanged. His principles help all states retain the right to fund what they want without asking for permission.

We have the 2nd highest unemployment rate in the nation. Five counties in the state have more than 20%, with the highest having 23.4%.

If he blocks the federal stimulous money, it will lead to 4,700 teachers and prison guards being laid off.

The man has a hatred for public schools. He wanted to offer tax dollars to parents who can already afford to send their children to private schools, and to parents who will take their children out of public schools.

Is that what the nation wants?

sanford hyprocrit his state gets lots more in spending than it pays in taxes for years now 2005 they got $1.31 in spending for every dollar in taxes so he lies sc unemployment is 10% second worse in country and he just doesnt care most in Sc are very upset repubs and dems with him and I dont blame them
