"Sweet Medusa." Music and Lyrics by English-Weiss. Sung by Bead Game.

From Soundtrack of "The People Next Door" (1970):
"A movie as American as Mom's apple pie, Daddy's Scotch-on-the-rocks and little Maxie's hang-ups."
The People Next Door is a 1970s attempt at exposing the drug problems of suburban youth. Typical middle-class parents are horrified to discover that their daughter is strung out on LSD. They fight to expose the neighborhood pusher while struggling to understand their now-alien daughter.

  • thank you! i was 16 when this came out and condidered my self a hiipy...had done acid since 69...went to the 2nd atlanta pop festival in summer of 70..saw hendrix among many, many other acts...have not seen this movie since it came out...read the book just the other day!! i always loved the fact that just because the son had long hair and loved the hippy music did not mean he did drugs[i knew kids like that] yet he was blamed automactically for his sister's drug use...that was the way it was..

  • Thanks for rediscovering and replaying a priceless memory for me -- I remember watching THE PEOPLE NEXT DOOR when I was a kid and feeling like a whole world of weird wonder and alienation had both been opened up to me ... and for the first time EXPLAINED ... all in this one amazing SONG and in the actress's locked-on-Infinity, Mad Hatter gaze! 'I hear mountains, I see music' indeed! The actor Stephen McHatty (?) entrhalled me for years! So cool to recapture the mood again, Both naive and deep

  • finally someone posted this great tune .this and the whole soundtrack,my all time favorite.you cant get any more psychadelic than this,

  • Thanx, again, Joey for sharing this !
