On the electrode is a specific cold-receptor firing at about 8-12 Hz at skin temperature (31°C). Observe zooming into the oscilloscope screen to view single action potentials... you need actually an amplification of more than 100.000 times to make them visible. That's as much as you need to catch up signals from your cell phone (and it looks quite similar)... and the Marshall amp. would btw also work with any regular electric guitar :)
