Demonstrating how FaceTrackNoIR works in FSX and showing the settings that I use. Also in the video is me using the CAI-set pop-up panel in FSX. Livestream Procaster was used in capturing the video. Video shows the start of a soaring competition task, the 1st turnpoint, and off to the 2nd turnpoint.

  • sf4JC...thanks that was great!!..I have got my one (1.6) running very well with my MS HD5000 webcam, in FSX....a great improvement over what I started out with...

Noticed I need to keep my face fully illuminated or it drops out of tracking....

Alot smoother but not as good as yours...????

Any other info....could you upload a screenshot of the settings etc...just so I can get it set exactly the same...I cant see the handle bars properly on the curves etc...Laurie

  • @LWJCarroll - I noticed you had posted on another updated video, so I posted my settings there in the info.

  • Anyone who's been using this with ARMA 2 and can point me to a setup guide or somesuch? Can't get it to work.

Also my Google-fu is weak as water.

  • @white0devil0 - I don't personally know any ARMA 2 Forums, but that would be possibly the best place to go other than going to the FaceTrackNoIR forums @ H T T P : / / sourceforgeDOTnet/projects/facetracknoir/. I cannot give you the exact address because YouTube has never allowed that for some reason for me.

  • can you describe your curve setting? look like mine is to sensitive, so alittle movement can make a large affect... ^^ thx

  • @RenaultR5Gte - Try going to the forums and asking there, I believe they may be able to fix it, or maybe let you know whether or not it will work with your setup. When you ask your question there, give info on what kind of computer system you have and also what OS (Win98/XP/Vista/7) you use. And I forgot, tell them what webcam/camera you are using as well. Sorry I couldn't be more help. In the meantime, if I find an answer, I'll repost.

  • @sf4JC

yes i did but i get the error message on both programms. even with FaceAPI

  • @RenaultR5Gte - I must ask to make sure, but did you check with the "IPP runtime related error(s)" section of the known issues? Or try going to the forums @ sourceforgeDOTnet/projects/facetracknoir/.

  • everytime when i start FacetrackNoIR i get the same "Failure-Message" that no Dll´s found in the Waterfall procedure. can anybody help me because the manuel and the known issuses on their homepage doesnt work. thx

  • @JJ7x6Studios The grey image is I believe normal for everyone, but I could be wrong. I noticed in one of your videos that there might be a window to the back side of you, this might be a problem. I have direct sunlight from the right side in the mornings, so I went out and bought an LED lamp so it would lighten up the left side of my face to neutralize the light on my face, making the tracking more stable. You can also maybe pull the shades/blinds on that window to dampen its effects on image.
