Poipet Border Crossing 2010

Poipet border crossing into Cambodia, is the most interesting border crossing I have ever come across. There is so much activity happening with people transferring goods from one side to the other., it is a sight to behold.

On the internet many web sights explain how there is little to see or do in Poipet , yet on my last stay in Poipet there was entertainment opposite the guest house I stayed in, which is a lot more that can be said about Aranyaprathet on the other side.

Thanks for your comment. From leaving Aranyapathet to entering Poipet took less than 15 minutes. The guide I was with took me to a small mini bus by Poipet roundabout; which travelled a 10 minute journey to the passenger terminal just outside Poipet. From personal experience I prefer a taxi to Siem Reap rather than by mini bus.

Yes, Poipet has a character all to its own. Did you have a guide for your trip to Poipet ?

I completely agree with your video description of the town, and have already written many similar words as you've said here. Poipet is actually pretty entertaining, even if people say stay out of it. Interesting and memorable. Nice video.
